The gutting was present on a couple of large hunting knives designed for hunters.
They are now retired and rare. The Steens and
Ukiah included a long gutting blade integral to the blade,
while the other models had a shorter one that slid out from the end.
Uses:
The gutting hook is an aggressive tool designed for field-dressing large game. It cuts
through hide with less risk of cuts to the interior guts.
