Victorinox and Wenger 1961 Soldier Knives

The Victorinox and Wenger 1961 Soldier Swiss Army knives are a 93mm / 3 1/2" ribbed alox knife, with a 1961 date on the blade tang. This model was standard issue for the Swiss army during 1961. Both versions have a cutting notch in the bottle opener, a hollow rivet, Elsener Schwyz on the blade tang (Victorinox only), a cross with Waffenkontrolle stamp instead of the insignia, and red alox body. Most or all knives have Pat stamped on the can opener. The same tools are found on the subsequent 1962 Soldier. This year is relatively uncommon, and we have not yet found one to photograph.
