The Victorinox and Wenger 1969 Soldier Swiss Army knives are a 93mm / 3 1/2" ribbed alox knife, with a 1969 date on the blade tang. This model was standard issue for the Swiss army during 1969. Both versions have a cutting notch in the bottle opener, a hollow rivet, Elsener Schwyz on the blade tang (Victorinox only), a cross with Waffenkontrolle stamp instead of the insignia. Some knives have Pat stamped on the can opener, and some do not. The tools are similar to the 1968 Soldier, and the subsequent 1970 Soldier.
