Victorinox and Wenger 1970 Soldier Knives

The Victorinox 1970 Soldier Swiss Army knives are a 93mm / 3 1/2" ribbed alox knife, with a 1970 date on the blade tang. This model was standard issue for the Swiss army during 1970. It has a cutting notch in the bottle opener, a hollow rivet, Elsener Schwyz on the blade tang, a cross with Waffenkontrolle stamp, and Pat stamped on the can opener. We have not yet seen any Wenger knives stamped with this year. The 1970 tools are similar to the 1969 Soldier, and the subsequent 1971 Soldier.
