The Victorinox and Wenger 1971 Soldier Swiss Army knives are a 93mm / 3 1/2" ribbed alox knife, with a 1971 date on the blade tang. This model was standard issue for the Swiss army during 1971. Both versions have a cutting notch in the bottle opener, a hollow rivet, Elsener Schwyz on the blade tang (Victorinox only), a cross with Waffenkontrolle stamp, and Pat stamped on the can opener. The tools are similar to the 1970 Soldier, and the subsequent 1972 Soldier.

Size & Weight: The Victorinox and Wenger 1971 Soldier knife is 93mm (3 1/2") long, 23mm (15/16") wide, and 14mm (1/2") thick. It weighs about 73 grams (2.6 oz).
Colors: The 1971 Soldier comes in silver ribbed aluminum alox.
