Victorinox and Wenger 1979 Soldier 93mm Aluminum Alox Swiss Army Knives

The Victorinox and Wenger 1979 Soldier Swiss Army knives are a 93mm / 3 1/2" ribbed alox knife, with a 1979 date on the blade tang. This model was standard issue for the Swiss army during 1979. Knives with a 79 date are relatively uncommon, and we have not yet seen any Wenger Soldiers for this year. Tools are similar to the 1978 Soldier, and continue on the subsequent 1980 Soldier.

Size & Weight: The Victorinox and Wenger 1979 Soldier knife is 93mm (3 1/2") long, 23mm (15/16") wide, and 14mm (1/2") thick. It weighs about 73 grams (2.6 oz).

Colors: The 1979 Soldier comes in silver ribbed aluminum alox.
