The Victorinox and Wenger 1963 Soldier Swiss Army knives are a 93mm / 3 1/2" ribbed alox knife, with a 1963 date on the blade tang. This model was standard issue for the Swiss army during 1963. Both versions have a cutting notch in the bottle opener, a hollow rivet, a cross with Waffenkontrolle stamp instead of the insignia, and red alox bodies, similar to the 1962 Soldier. The blade tang is stamped with Elsener Schwyz for Victorinox knives, and Wenger Delemont for Wenger production (no crossbow). Some knives have Pat stamped on the can opener, and some do not. The same tools are found on the subsequent 1964 Soldier.

Size & Weight: The Victorinox and Wenger 1963 Soldier knife is 93mm (3 1/2") long, 23mm (15/16") wide, and 14mm (1/2") thick. It weighs about 73 grams (2.6 oz).
