The Victorinox and Wenger 1964 Soldier Swiss Army knives are a 93mm / 3 1/2" ribbed alox knife, with a 1964 date on the blade tang. This model was standard issue for the Swiss army during 1964. Both versions have a cutting notch in the bottle opener, a hollow rivet, a cross with Waffenkontrolle stamp instead of the insignia, and red alox bodies, similar to the 1963 Soldier. The blade tang is stamped with Elsener Schwyz for Victorinox knives, and Wenger Delemont for Wenger production (no crossbow). Some knives have Pat stamped on the can opener, and some do not. The same tools are found on the subsequent 1965 Red Alox Soldier.
